Compact Transformer Stations

Transformer stations of production “DELING” d.o.o. are the product of our own conceptual design, and are equipped with:

  • Certified and attested concrete structure,
  • Certified and attested sheet metal construction,
  • Medium voltage switchgear manufacturers “ABB”, “SIEMENS”, “SCHNEIDER”, etc.
  • Transformer “KONČAR”, “ABB”, “SIEMENS”, “Schneider”, etc.,
  • Measuring cell product of “DELING” Tuzla,
  • Low voltage switching block product of “DELING” Tuzla.

Compact transformer stations are manufactured in accordance with the standards: EN 62271-202, IEC 60071, EN 60529, EN 6043-1, EN 60947-1. In the accredited laboratory of KONČAR Institute, type tests were performed and certificates were obtained for all compact substations that are subject to meeting the requirements of the IEC 62271-202 standard. The certification covers all types of compact transformer stations (KTS) including 1×1000 kVA and 2×1000 kVA.

The Institute for Standards, Metrology and Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued BAC certificates and confirmed that the transformer stations comply with the above standards. “DELING” d.o.o. Tuzla designs and manufactures transformer stations within the framework of standard solutions, according to the content and requirements of the customer.

The production of a series of compact transformer stations is the product of many years of experience and development of DELING experts. The materials (concrete prefabricated elements and Al sheets) from which the substations are made ensure reliable and safe operation, long service life, a wide range of equipment layout options. In the range of a wide range of types of substations, it is possible to meet almost all user needs.

10 (20) / 0.4 kV transformer stations are intended for voltage transformation and supply of consumers with low voltage electricity.

Compact transformer stations are divided by type into two basic groups and two subgroups:

Group 1 consists of KBTS types

Housings of various sizes are made of AB base, load-bearing steel structure and reinforced concrete prefabricated elements, which form the walls of TS, and concrete or Al roof. Ventilation doors and blinds are made of aluminum, anti-corrosion protected by electrostatic process in a color harmonized with the color of the relief facade or at the request of the Client, and achieve a high degree of natural ventilation. In the subgroup they are divided into TS with external and internal serving (-up).

Group 2 consists of LMTS types

Housings of various sizes are made of AB base, load-bearing, anti-corrosion protected steel structure and prefabricated profile elements made of aluminum sheet δ = 3mm, which form the columns and the TS sheath. The roof is compact, made of prefabricated profiles, and the full and ventilated doors are also made of aluminum sheet δ = 3mm. All LMTS elements are anticorrosively protected by electrostatic process in light gray tones or in the color desired by the Client. They are classified in the TS subgroup with external serving.

CCTS – Concrete Compact Transformer Station

CCTS – Concrete compact transformer station 10 (20) /0,4kV, with external operation, for installation of transformers up to 630kVA

The housing of the transformer station of the KBTS type is composed of prefabricated type reinforced concrete elements of the load-bearing substructure made of steel pipes and profiles. Reinforced concrete elements are protected with concrete primer on the inside.

The basic load-bearing structure consists of columns and horizontal connections made of steel pipe with cross-sectional dimensions of 50 x 50 x 2.5 and the connections are made by welding. Anticorrosive protection of the substructure is performed by wet painting, by applying two layers of primer on the prepared structure, then one layer of finishing paint in the shade marked RAL 9006. The substructure thus formed is mounted directly on the reinforced concrete foundation. The connection between the substructure and the foundation was also achieved by welding for previously anchored L profiles in the reinforced concrete foundation.

Diagonal profiles are cross-connected inside the housing, which on the one hand increases the stability of the housing, and on the other hand physically separates the spaces for the LV block, MV block and transformer box. This way of forming the structure gives it great strength and stability for the next step of assembling concrete elements. Prefabricated reinforced concrete elements are mounted on the load-bearing substructure, which have prepared steel plates for welding connection for the basic substructure. Thus mounted concrete elements form the walls of the substation.

The walls are coated on the inside with RAL 9006 concrete paint. On the outside, the walls and AB foundation are coated with concrete emulsion and then a silicate waterproof facade is applied to the walls and the foundation is coated with concrete paint.

The housing of the transformer station has conditionally separate spaces for equipment. Accordingly, each part has a door for smooth installation of equipment. Doors are made of aluminum pipes and profiles. For the purpose of natural ventilation, openings have been prepared on all doors, which with their shape provide a sufficient amount of air, but also mechanical protection of the equipment. The door is anticorrosively protected by electrostatic polymerization in the shade RAL 9006. The roof of the KBTS transformer station housing is made of 3 mm thick aluminum sheet. The roof is mounted on a steel substructure made of sheet metal profiles and welded into one unit. The steel roof substructure is also varnished by electrostatic polymerization. Under the roof are mounted attic masks that have perforated fields, which provide the necessary outlet surface to the air stream.

The assembly of the transformer is performed by connecting the transformer support, made of reinforced LPG 14 profiles, to the profiles anchored in the AB foundation itself. The MV block and LV block are mounted by relying on specially prepared profile girders fastened by welding to the anchored profiles in the AB foundation. Below the transformer there is an oil- and water-tight tub of sufficient capacity to receive the entire amount of possibly leaked oil from the power transformer. This prevents the possibility of possible spillage of transformer oil, ie the spread of fire in the surrounding area. The use of oil baths is harmonized with the application of the Ordinance on technical regulations for special protection of electric power plants against fire (“Official Gazette of SFRY”, No. 16/66, amendments to “Official Gazette of SFRY”, No. 58/72 and 24/75) .

Lifting and transport of the housing of the transformer station type KBTS is performed by hooking with four hooks on the corners of the roof of the housing. Its compact dimensions and weight allow for smooth transport and easy installation at the installation site. The transformer station of the KBTS type is mounted on the previously prepared reinforced concrete base at the installation site. The preparation of the reinforced concrete base is performed in accordance with the standard project or the instructions for the preparation of the terrain. The basic external dimensions of the transformer station are: 3000 x 2000 x 2650 mm. The weight of the housing without LV block, MV block and transformer is 3300 kg. There is no fire extinguisher in the transformer station, because the station is unmanned. The transformer station with its construction and equipment characteristics provides sufficient fire safety.

CCTS-2 – Concrete Compact Transformer Station

CCTS-2 – Concrete Compact Transformer Stations 10 (20) /0.4kV, with external operation, for installation of transformers up to 2x1000kVA

Compact concrete transformer station KBTS-2 10 (20) /0.4 kV, for installation of transformers up to 2×1000 kVA, is a finished factory product “DELING” Tuzla. It is intended for the transformation and power supply of consumers with low voltage electricity. It is used in distribution and industrial electrical networks as a terminal, through or node transformer station for cable connection.

The transformer station is fully assembled and delivered to the customer’s place and connected to the MV and LV network. It is made in accordance with standards EN 62271-202, IEC 60071, EN 60529, EN 6043-1, EN 60947-1. With its dimensions and external appearance, the building fits into any urban and industrial space.

ACTS – Aluminum Compact Transformer Station

ACTS – Aluminum Compact Transformer Station 10 (20) /0.4kV, with external operation, for installation of transformers up to 630kVA

The housing of the transformer station type LMTS 630 is composed of finished prefabricated type sheet metal elements and a load-bearing substructure made of galvanized steel profiles. Prefabricated type sheet metal elements are made of aluminum 3 mm thick, and protected by dry electrostatic polymerization in the shade RAL 7032.

The basic construction consists of vertical profiled columns and horizontal profiles, fixed in two axes, in the upper and lower part of the columns. Anti-corrosion protection of the substructure is performed by wet painting, by applying two coats of primer on the prepared structure, then one coat of finish paint in the shade marked RAL 9006. The substructure thus formed is placed on a reinforced concrete foundation in the next step. The connection between the substructure and the foundation was made with anchored M16 screws.

Inside the housing, profiled plates are cross-connected, which form a physical division of space into sections of MV block, LV block and transformer. This way of forming the structure gives it great strength and stability. On the load-bearing substructure, 3 mm thick aluminum sheet pillars are mounted, followed by doors and masks. The doors on the transformer box are made with horizontal ventilation openings, which provides a sufficient inlet and outlet air for natural cooling of the transformer.

The MV block and LV block are mounted by leaning on specially prepared profiled girders attached to the transformer station housing and additionally reinforced with supports fixed to the concrete base. Below the transformer there is an oil- and water-tight tub of sufficient capacity to receive the entire amount of possibly leaked oil from the power transformer. This prevents the possibility of possible spillage of transformer oil, ie the spread of fire in the surrounding area. The use of oil baths is harmonized with the application of the Ordinance on technical regulations for special protection of electric power plants against fire (“Official Gazette of the SFRY”, No. 16/66, amendments to the “Official Gazette of the SFRY”, No. 58/72 and 24/75)

The basic external dimensions of the transformer station are 2130 x 2130 x 2590 mm. The weight of the housing without LV block, MV block and transformer is 1500 kg. There is no fire extinguisher in the transformer station, because the station is unmanned. The transformer station with its construction and equipment characteristics provides sufficient fire safety.

ACTS-1 – Aluminum Compact Transformer Station

ACTS-1 – Aluminum Compact Transformer Station 10 (20) /0,4kV, with external operation, for installation of transformers up to 1000kVA, 3 mm thick, protected by dry electrostatic polymerization in the shade RAL 7032. The load-bearing substructure is made of steel profiles made of pickled sheet metal 3 mm thick.

The basic construction consists of vertical profiled columns and horizontal profiles, fixed in two axes, in the upper and lower part of the columns, with diagonal connections in all fields between the columns. The substructure is made so that it is completely dismantled with sufficient strength to carry aluminum linings. Anti-corrosion protection of the substructure is performed by electrostatic painting, in the shade marked RAL 9006. The connection between the substructure and the foundation is made with anchored M16 screws at eight points. On the load-bearing substructure, 3 mm thick aluminum sheet pillars are mounted, followed by doors and masks. All doors and individual grilles are made with horizontal ventilation openings, which provides a sufficient inlet and outlet amount of air for natural cooling of the transformer.

The assembly of the transformer is performed by connecting the transformer support, made of reinforced LPG 14 profiles, to the profiles anchored in the AB foundation itself. The MV block and LV block are mounted by relying on specially prepared girders welded to the profiles anchored in the foundation. Below the transformer there is an oil- and water-tight tub of sufficient capacity to receive the entire amount of possibly leaked oil from the power transformer. This prevents the possibility of possible spillage of transformer oil, ie the spread of fire in the surrounding area. The use of oil baths is harmonized with the application of the Ordinance on technical regulations for special protection of electric power plants against fire (“Official Gazette of the SFRY”, No. 16/66, amendments to the “Official Gazette of the SFRY”, No. 58/72 and 24/75)

Transmission and installation of the transformer station KALTS -1 is done by a crane using hooks that are directly connected to the basic steel structure.

The transformer station type KALTS 1 is mounted on the previously prepared reinforced concrete base at the installation site. The preparation of the reinforced concrete base is performed in accordance with the standard project or the instructions for the preparation of the terrain.

The basic external dimensions of the transformer station are: 2200 x 3000 x 2700 mm. The mass of the housing without LV block, MV block and transformer is 1980 kg.

There is no fire extinguisher in the transformer station, because the station is unmanned. The transformer station with its construction and equipment characteristics provides sufficient fire safety.
