Compact Secondary Substation in concrete enclosure CSSinC

Compact secondary substation in concrete made of ready prefabricated type reinforced-concrete elements of supportive sub-construction steel tubes and profiles. Reinforced-concrete elements are protected from the inside by concrete primer.

The basic supportive construction are pillars and horizontal welded connections made of steel tubes of 50 x 50 x 2,5 cross-section. Anticorrosion protection of sub-construction is made by wet varnishing in such a way that two layers of primer and then one layer of finish in a nuance marked as RAL 9006. Such established sub-construction is directly mounted on reinforced-concrete foundation. Connection between sub-construction and foundation is also welded to previously anchored L profiles in reinforced-.concrete elements.

Inside the housing, there are cross-connected diagonal profiles, whereby on one hand stability of the housing is increased and on the other area for placement of LV block, MV block and substation housing is physically separated. This type of construction formation gives it firmness and stability for the next step in concrete elements mounting. Reinforced concrete prefabricated elements are mounted on supportive sub-construction which contain already prepared steel panels for welding connection to the basic sub-construction. Such mounted concrete elements compose substation walls. From the inside, the walls are painted by concrete primer in a nuance marked as RAL 9006. From the outside, walls and reinforced concrete foundation are painted by protective emulsion for concrete, then silicate waterproof façade is put on the walls, and the foundation is painted by protective paint for concrete.

Compact Secondary Substation in concrete housing has separated area for placement of equipment. Thus, each part has a door for undisturbed mounting of equipment. Door is made of aluminum tubes and profiles. To gain natural ventilation all the doors contain already prepared openings which in its shape ensure enough air and mechanical protection of equipment. Doors are protected against corrosion by electrostatic polymerization in a nuance marked as RAL 9006. The roof of CSS in concrete  is made of aluminum sheet of 3 mm. The roof is mounted on steel sub-construction made of sheet profiles welded in one whole. Steel roof sub-construction is also lacquered by electrostatic polymerization. Sub-roof masks which contain perforated fields are mounted under the roof. These fields ensure necessary output surface to the air flow.

Compact Secondary Substation in concrete is mounted in a way that a transformer supporter made of reinforced UNP 14 profiles are connected to profiles anchored in reinforced concrete foundation. MV and LV blocks are mounted in a way that they are leaned on specially prepared profile supporters connected by welding to profiles anchored in reinforced concrete foundation. Under the substation there is oil and water tight bath large enough to accept all the quantities of possible oil leaking from the energetic substation. Thereby a possibility of probable spillage of substation oil or spread of fire is prevented. Use of oil bath is in accordance with application of Rulebook on technical regulations for special protection of electro-energetic plants from fire (“Official Gazette of SFRY”, No. 16/66, changes and amendments published in “Official Gazette of SFRY”, No.  58/72 and 24/75).

Lifting and transport of the CSS in concrete is done by hooking on four angles of the housing roof. Its compact dimensions and weight provide easy transport and mounting on the site.

Compact Secondary Substation in concrete is mounted on a previously prepared reinforced concrete surface. Preparation of the reinforced concrete is done according to the type design or according to instructions for terrain preparation.

Basic outdoor dimensions of the substation are: 3000 x 2000 x 2650 mm. housing mass without LV block, MV block and substation is 3300 kg.

It is not foreseen to have a fire extinguisher as the substation is without crew. Compact Secondary Substation in concrete in its construction and equipment characteristics gives enough firefighting safety.
